Serene Montgomery

Designer (she/her)

Serene Montgomery is a designer who is passionate about using architecture as a powerful tool to positively shape people’s lives. She was drawn to FORA because of her deep interest in housing design and the meaningful opportunity it provides to help create places where people can live with comfort, dignity, and joy.

Serene holds a Bachelor of Interior Design and a Master of Architecture from Kent State University, where she also teaches architecture and interior design studios. She values practicing housing design across a range of scales, from small backyard ADUs to large multi unit developments.

She lives in Stow, Ohio with her husband, and in her free time she enjoys spending time in nature, hosting friends and family for coffee/tea, practicing latte art with her Breville, baking bread, and staying active through walking, hiking, running and yoga.

β€œI see architecture as a powerful way to improve lives, especially through housing that fosters comfort and dignity. This is what excites me about design.” - Serene
