Jen Winnett

Jen Winnett, AIA, LEED GA, is an Architect at FORA who believes that everyone deserves a beautiful place to call home. She finds her greatest joy creating spaces that encourage welcoming interactions, where neighbors become friends, and vibrant communities are formed.

Jen graduated from University of California, Berkeley and started her career with a focus on community-centered gathering spaces. When she found the world of affordable housing, she knew she had found her people and her passion! Jen brings a wealth of knowledge gathered across multiple housing-focused firms and has experience working in a variety of jurisdictions throughout California. She prides herself on her high level of efficiency and organization, keeping teams focused on the important decisions both big and small.

A rare architect who enjoys construction, Jen is at her happiest in her hard hat and boots walking the jobsite. She enjoys helping designs become reality and bringing a calm presence to sometimes tense coordination meetings. Jen is naturally skilled at navigating complex design problems and complicated team dynamics to arrive at a final project that achieves the highest design standards for future residents.

In her spare time, Jen can be found adventuring with her husband near their home in Auburn, CA. Most weekends they enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing, or tackling the never-ending home improvement project list.
