Kyle Seem
Designer / Software Engineer (she/her)
Kyle Seem is FORA’s first interdisciplinary hire, bringing to the studio her expertise in programming and digital design. She is an energetic software engineer with a passion for building functional tools and creating something beautiful from nothing - both of which lend themselves perfectly to architectural design. She appreciates precision and whimsy equally and aims to incorporate both in her work and her life.
Possessing a unique depth of empathy and thoughtfulness for how people live, Kyle’s focus for the duration of her time in architecture has led to the development of her expertise in Inclusive Design, ensuring the spaces FORA creates are beautiful, functional, and accessible for all.
Kyle grew up in poverty and personally understands the necessity of affordable housing. Her lived experiences drive her architectural design and she is passionate about creating safe spaces for people to call home.
Kyle recently purchased her first home and lives in Bellingham, WA with her partner Jacob (software engineer) and their cat. In her spare time she likes to go for walks, crochet, kayak, and play video games. Kyle is an excellent conversationalist, undeniably memorable, fiercely loyal, compassionate, emotional, and has a knack for exciting and uplifting everyone around her.
"Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less."
