Grace Village

We’re proud to be designing a new community center for CityTeam
that will support women and children in San Jose, CA.
We are currently working on Grace Village’s construction documents.

Leah Bayer, Kate Conley, and Sarah Vaccaro are speaking at the 2023 AIA National Conference on Architecture in San Francisco where they’ll share their personal journeys to firm ownership as partners at FORA. With a record number of architects retiring from the profession in the next handful of years, they hope to empower the next, more diverse generation to confidently step into firm ownership negotiations, no matter their background.

Keep an eye out for an exclusive first look at our recently completed Post Occupancy Evaluation Report for Leigh Avenue Senior Apartments!

Last year, Engage FORA conducted surveys and interviews of residents of their project, Leigh Ave, a 64-unit mixed-use LEED Platinum housing development in San Jose serving formerly unhoused seniors. The resulting Post-Occupancy Evaluation Report is full of lessons learned and recommendations to improve permanent supportive housing developments, including researched-backed best practices for trauma informed design. We’re excited to share this resource with the affordable housing community and hope it makes a positive impact on future developments.

The Young Architect Award is the highest award given by AIA California to an individual who has shown exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the profession in the early stage of their architectural career.
